About the position

The Maintenance Technician - Field position at Liberty involves assisting higher-level technicians with repairs and troubleshooting of equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery, requiring a basic understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety regulations and standards.
• Explain the differences in the PM schedules.
• Identify fluid types and capacities for various engines and transmissions.
• Identify greasing points included in PM Service for trailer mounted units and tractors.
• Check u-joints and determine if they need replacement.
• Understand equipment power-up and power-down procedures.
• Engage power take-off on tractors correctly.
• Check fluid levels after PM service and identify components checked in running and no-run states.
• Identify all Liberty equipment by name.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Use manual gauges and multi-meters for electrical checks.

Requirements

• 1 year or less of related industry experience.
• Basic understanding of engines and transmissions.
• Ability to perform PM services with minimal instruction.
• Possess a basic tool set.
• General knowledge of electrical circuits.
