Qurate Retail Group is the largest player in video commerce ("vCommerce"), which includes video-driven shopping across linear TV, ecommerce sites, digital streaming and social platforms. The purpose of a Maintenance Technician II position is to perform basic tasks and repairs within the fulfillment center including work on conveyors, PIT equipment, and general building maintenance. This requires a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Also, we ask that you have familiarity with AC/DC systems and the ability to use a volt meter. You will report to the Facilities Area Manager and work onsite in our Bethlehem, PA fulfillment center. We have a day and night shift available. The maintenance team is responsible for a variety of work streams and projects that allow our campuses to have a comfortable and safe workplace. The services the department provides range from building maintenance, AV Setup/Installation, guest registration, badges/parking permits, space planning/moves, drawing requests and design, large-scale projects, and café/catering services. Your impact includes performing and facilitating general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair. You will also perform repairs on dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates to resolve problems and ensure successful operation. Additionally, you will escort and assist outside vendors. You will perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment. Identifying and correcting safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical is also part of your role. You will help with repairs when unscheduled breakdowns occur, and support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment. Addressing production-related issues and consulting with team leaders to ensure necessary corrections to maximize equipment throughput are also key responsibilities. You will have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter, and may be asked to assist team leaders with repairs or replacement of de-energized electrical systems. Additionally, you will assist team leaders and contractors to perform installations of new or replacement equipment, and input and maintain records using CMMS systems to ensure accuracy of time, parts, and repair data. Reading technical manuals and documenting changes will also be part of your duties.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification (i.e., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding) or equivalent military technical training.
  • 1 year or more experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • 1 year or more experience with conveyor, automation and sortation system repair.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC systems.
  • Willingness to occasionally be on call, work days or nights, weekends, and overtime.
