About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the good condition and functionality of a Senior Property (55+) apartment community. This full-time role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to maintain the units, buildings, and common areas in optimal condition while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, and cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels.
• Repair ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems as necessary.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform manual repairs, such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in maintenance for at least 1 year.
• Valid Driver's License.
