About the position

The Maintenance Technician role at Aerotek involves overseeing a production line and mentoring a team of maintenance technicians in a food manufacturing environment. The position requires a strong background in reliability-centered maintenance and troubleshooting various mechanical and electrical systems to ensure efficient production operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a production line and mentor a team of 12-15 maintenance technicians.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance and address mechanical and pneumatic issues with production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and check inputs/outputs of Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
• Adhere to and implement preventative maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) schedules.
• Repair and troubleshoot VFDs, proximity sensors, limit switches, photo-eyes, fuses, relays, actuators, and contactors.
• Rewire or troubleshoot single or three-phase motors up to 480v.
• Repair gear boxes, shafts, bearings, valves, cylinders, and chains.
• Fabricate and repair components using machining or welding techniques.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Requirements

• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), root cause failure analysis (RCFA), preventative maintenance optimization (PMO), and total productive maintenance (TPM).
• Experience troubleshooting or repairing VFDs, proximity sensors, limit switches, photo-eyes, fuses, relays, actuators, and contactors.
• Ability to troubleshoot and check inputs/outputs of Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
• Experience with rewiring or troubleshooting single or three-phase motors up to 480v.
• Ability to fabricate and repair components using machining or welding.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
