Maintenance Technician, HVAC

The Maintenance Technician, HVAC position at El Valle Detention Facility in Raymondville, Texas, involves performing maintenance and repair tasks related to HVAC systems and general building upkeep. Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical systems, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning.
• Recommend contracted assistance when on-facility repair is not possible.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks of building and equipment.
• Monitor tool inventory.
• Perform routine scheduled checks of air conditioning systems.
• Provide on-call support in emergency situations or equipment breakdowns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training and licensing in the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems required.
• General knowledge of repair and maintenance.
• Three (3) years of maintenance or related experience required.
• Must have United States Citizenship and successfully complete preservice training.
• Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required.
