About the position

The Maintenance Technician I position at AbbVie is an entry-level role focused on preventive and demand maintenance activities. The technician will work closely with senior technicians to develop skills in various maintenance functions, adhering to safety regulations and company standards. This role is designed to build a foundation for a career in skilled trades within the maintenance field.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to AbbVie's Code of Business Conduct
• Understand and follow all GMP and Safety regulations
• Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades
• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities
• Engage in vocational training to increase skill set and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.

Requirements

• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools
• Ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting
• High School diploma or Relevant Certificate
• Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
