About the position
The Maintenance Technician II at Mastronardi Produce is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of distribution equipment, as well as general facility maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and the technician will work to ensure the efficient operation of the plant while adhering to safety and legal standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of distribution equipment.
- Perform all responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician I as needed.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material/product handling equipment.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines as directed.
- Ensure equipment, tools, and spare parts are accounted for and secured when not in use.
- Perform preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance of equipment using appropriate job plans and procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, and proximity sensors.
- Conduct basic facility maintenance including light electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
- Assist in mentoring junior technicians by providing guidance and direction.
- Assist with basic electronics and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) troubleshooting.
- Maintain a spirit of teamwork and productivity among maintenance personnel.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous related work experience required.
- PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance tools and procedures.
- Repair of material handling equipment.
- Electrical and electronic knowledge.
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of plant maintenance, including carpentry and plumbing.
