About the position

The Maintenance Technician II - Licensed Electrician is a key member of the facility team responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and physical structures across all clinic locations. This role involves planning and executing preventative maintenance on various systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and medical equipment, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts as applicable.
  • Complete specific project tasks based on trade and experience.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC problems, coordinating with contractors as necessary.
  • Replace light bulbs, filters, and other miscellaneous consumable items.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on dental equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and light repairs, including work that requires the use of extension ladders and rooftop access.
  • Coordinate vehicle fleet maintenance, including cleaning and routine maintenance.
  • Maintain building doors, hardware, and keying systems.
  • Perform light grounds keeping tasks such as power washing, sidewalk sweeping, snow removal, de-icing, and painting.
  • Respond to immediate or emergency maintenance calls, including after-hours assistance and alarms.
  • Support custodial technicians with assigned duties.
  • Maintain inventory and submit requests for needed supplies.

Requirements

  • Licensed Electrician certification.
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs.
  • Experience with dental equipment maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights and use extension ladders safely.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to coordinate with contractors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare facility maintenance environment.
  • Familiarity with safety data sheets and universal precautions.
