About the position
Join Drury Hotels as a Maintenance Technician where you will be responsible for maintaining the safe and smooth operation of the hotel property and grounds. This role involves completing repairs and preventative maintenance on various systems including plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC. You will also perform light carpentry, painting, and drywall repair, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining detailed records. Additionally, you will provide training to Maintenance Tech I team members and collaborate with management to meet departmental needs, all while contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems.
- Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl, and drywall repair.
- Implement and monitor safety programs in compliance with regulations.
- Keep detailed records and reports of maintenance activities.
- Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
- Collaborate with management for departmental recruitment needs.
- Deliver courteous and friendly guest service.
Requirements
- Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance.
- Ability to dismantle equipment for repairs or replacements.
- Knowledge of water chemistry and pool maintenance operations.
- Experience in implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of building maintenance including minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults.
- Flexibility for emergency repairs.
