About the position

The Maintenance Technician II at BRG Realty Group is responsible for ensuring the operational and safety standards of apartment communities are met. This role involves responding to resident service requests, performing maintenance tasks in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair, and participating in preventative and seasonal maintenance activities. The technician will work in a positive team environment and is expected to go the extra mile for residents, contributing to the overall quality of the community.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and professionally to resident requests for service.
• Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, and installations including faucets, pipes, and toilets.
• Conduct electrical repairs and installations such as power switches and ceiling lights.
• Repair drywall and perform minor touch-ups and painting as needed.
• Repair, replace, or install household appliances like refrigerators and dishwashers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on heating and air-conditioning systems and plumbing fixtures.
• Participate in seasonal maintenance tasks, including swimming pool procedures.
• Install locks and ensure health and safety maintenance, such as smoke detectors.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-3 years previous maintenance experience.
• HVAC/EPA certification required.
• Experience in electrical and plumbing work is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance are required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in carpentry is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
