About the position

The Maintenance Technician II position is a full-time role responsible for performing electrical and mechanical tasks on automated packaging and distribution equipment. The technician will utilize their working knowledge to troubleshoot and repair control circuits, electrical distribution systems, and conduct preventive and predictive maintenance. The role emphasizes promoting a safe working environment and maintaining automated conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical tasks on automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control circuits and electrical distribution systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all automated conveyor systems in the building.
  • Lead and audit preventative electrical/mechanical maintenance procedures.
  • Perform PLC control level issue diagnosis and maintenance.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components.
  • Utilize blueprints and schematics to perform maintenance safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with all levels in the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 1+ years of metal and wood fabrication experience.
  • 1+ years of blue and electrical schematic reading experience.
  • 1+ year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
  • Procedure-based maintenance experience (PM).
  • Ability to use and interpret statistical equipment run metrics such as OEE/Up Time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards according to OEM and Safety standards.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of computer networking systems and infrastructure.
  • Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
  • Basic ability to use Linux command line interface.
