The position involves performing mechanical and/or electrical maintenance on plant equipment to support optimum efficiency, availability, and plant appearance. Responsibilities include inspecting and verifying maintenance clearances prior to work, troubleshooting, disassembling, reassembling, and replacing equipment and associated parts, monitoring plant equipment, and analyzing operating data. While the focus of work is primarily on repair and maintenance, some preventative maintenance activities may also be performed. The role requires assisting with planning and spare parts inventory, preparing reports as directed by management, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and plant procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Performs mechanical and/or electrical maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Works call-outs as required to maintain plant availability.
  • Inspects and verifies maintenance clearances prior to work.
  • Troubleshoots, disassembles, reassembles, and replaces equipment and associated parts.
  • Monitors plant equipment and analyzes operating data.
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities including troubleshooting and assisting with the development of preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Assists with planning and spare parts inventory.
  • Prepares reports as directed by management and plant procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all local, State and Federal regulations and plant procedures.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and contributes to operating procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, degree from technical/vocational school or equivalent.
  • 10+ years directly related experience including understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Previous experience working with and around hazardous energy, chemicals, and waste materials.
  • Basic knowledge of physics and applied mathematics related to cogeneration power plant systems.
  • Skills in mechanical, instrumentation and control, and/or electrical maintenance.
  • Welding skills and/or operation of machine tools such as lathes, mills, etc.
  • Experience with industrial frame combustion turbine maintenance.
  • Advanced certifications/licensures.
  • Valid state driver's license.
