About the position

As a Maintenance Technician III at Liberty Military Housing, you will be responsible for performing general and specialized maintenance and repairs in a multifamily residential community. This role involves operating building systems and related equipment to meet Liberty Military Housing's quality standards. You may also take on lead responsibilities, supervising or training other maintenance staff members, and ensuring exemplary service and customer satisfaction for military families.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and specialized maintenance and repairs on building systems and appliances.
• Test and troubleshoot various items based on specific trade expertise.
• Apply proficient skills in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and appliance repair.
• Complete resident-requested repairs and services within a 24-hour timeframe.
• Perform maintenance work on vacant homes according to LMH standards.
• Respond to on-call service requests and emergency calls.
• Participate in routine inspections and maintenance checks.
• Train or guide other maintenance team members in skilled tasks.
• Maintain and update service requests using Yardi Mobile until completion.
• Report maintenance concerns for repairs to the supervisor.
• Comply with OSHA safety regulations and LMH Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• Five or more years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Intermediate level understanding and experience in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and appliance repair.
• Preferred certifications in HVAC and EPA.
• Some supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers, managers, vendors, and residents.
• Expert skills in operating small hand and electrical tools and basic machinery repair.
• Extensive knowledge of appliances and basic computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Yardi software.
• Additional certifications in related trades.
