About the position

The Maintenance Technician III position at Aerotek involves maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems and various mechanical and electrical equipment in a major e-commerce distribution center. This role offers opportunities for formal training on advanced automation and robotic equipment, with a focus on employee mentorship and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Train employees as needed and provide feedback on tasks in the Preventive Maintenance programs.
• Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks and suggest improvements.
• Install and maintain various components such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.
• Mentor technicians by motivating, providing guidance, and helping them achieve their goals.
• Work with teams to complete additional projects as assigned.
• Complete all safety training as assigned by the company.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience performing maintenance (mechanical & electrical) on equipment.
• 1+ year of experience leading and managing a team within the last 2 years of employment.
• Preferred: Associate degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, military training, or hands-on training related to the maintenance field.
