About the position

The Maintenance Technician (Instrumentation & Electrical) is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all terminal instrumentation and electrical systems at LBC Tank Terminals. This role involves troubleshooting various electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair terminal instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot motors, motor circuits, lighting and lighting control circuits, flow systems, and boilers.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot pressure transmitters, thermocouples, and differential pressure transmitters.
  • Perform live fuse change out on high voltage high line systems.
  • Conduct de-energized preventive maintenance on high voltage high line systems.
  • Participate in training courses, drills, and meetings as required.
  • Respond to call-outs and be available for overtime work when necessary.

Requirements

  • Industrial instrumentation and electrical experience, preferably as an in-house maintenance technician.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Possession of a TWIC card or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and perform English written instructions and procedures.
  • Mathematical proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to operate company's rolling equipment.
  • Experience using CAD systems for electrical and instrumentation drawings.
  • Experience with PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley and/or Honeywell PLC.
  • Experience coordinating new construction activities with internal and external engineering teams.
