About the position

The Maintenance Technician/Make Ready position at Price Realty Management Corporation involves performing routine maintenance duties and assisting the Lead Maintenance Technician in managing the overall maintenance program of an apartment community. The role requires a strong emphasis on customer service and the ability to respond to service requests in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with completion of service requests and make ready tasks.
• Perform pool and grounds care, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure the physical condition of new rental units meets company standards.
• Turn units in between resident occupancy.
• Repair plaster, paint, and stain both interior and exterior applications.
• Maintain property exterior grounds and common areas.
• Repair or replace windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, and closets.
• Assist in the installation, repair, replacement, and removal of appliances.
• Repair or replace sinks, baths, showers, faucets, sink plugs, and washers.
• Perform general A/C, appliance, and electrical repairs.
• Conduct carpentry work, painting, and plumbing duties.
• Install, repair, and re-key locks according to key procedures.
• Ensure positive resident relations by responding to service requests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Work on-call, overtime, weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of multi-family maintenance and make ready experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers, residents, vendors, and corporate staff.
• Reliable transportation to and from work, a valid driver's license, and current insurance.
• EPA certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves
