About The Position

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring resident satisfaction by providing timely and professional maintenance services. This position is responsible for preparing apartments for move-ins, responding to service requests, and maintaining the overall quality and safety of the property. The technician is expected to deliver superior customer service while adhering to safety procedures and company standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school education.
• 1+ years of related experience in maintenance or a similar role.
• Valid Driver's license and EPA 608 - Minimum Type II certification or local city required certificate.
• Knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, and general carpentry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read and understand policy manuals and safety rules.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and prepare bar graphs.
• Ability to deal with routine problems involving known variables.

Responsibilities

• Prepares make ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, and general repairs.
• Responds to resident requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintains grounds, pools, common areas, and dog park amenities.
• Reports maintenance concerns on vacant units and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Performs maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Attends and participates in required training programs.
• Delivers superior customer service and represents the company professionally.
• Maintains safety procedures and safeguards company tools and equipment.
• Achieves high productivity through reliable attendance.
