About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the satisfaction of residents by providing timely and effective maintenance services. This role involves preparing apartments for new residents, responding to service requests, and maintaining the overall quality and safety of the property. The technician plays a crucial role in delivering superior customer service and maintaining the company's standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares make ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, and general repairs.
  • Responds to resident requests in a timely manner with a professional attitude.
  • Maintains grounds, pools, common areas, and dog park amenities to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Reports maintenance concerns on vacant units and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Performs maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Attends and participates in required training programs.
  • Delivers superior customer service and represents the company professionally.
  • Maintains safety procedures and safeguards company tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school education.
  • 1+ years of related experience in maintenance or a similar role.
  • Valid Driver's license and EPA 608 - Minimum Type II certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and basic electrical skills.
  • Experience in plumbing and general carpentry.
