The Maintenance Technician at Astro Apartments plays a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive exceptional service and support. This position is responsible for preparing apartments for new residents, which includes tasks such as painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general maintenance to ensure a quality move-in experience. The technician must respond promptly to resident requests, demonstrating a professional attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Knowledge of various maintenance functions, including plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical work, and carpentry, is essential for this role. Additionally, the technician will maintain the grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities, ensuring they are clean, operational, and safe for residents. The Maintenance Technician will also be required to participate in on-call scheduling to address after-hours emergencies. Reporting maintenance concerns in vacant units and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor is a key responsibility, along with performing scheduled maintenance tasks. Familiarity with state, local, and federal fair housing laws is necessary, and participation in training programs provided by Cushman and Wakefield is expected. The technician must adhere to safety procedures, maintain company tools and equipment, and achieve high productivity through reliable attendance.
