As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our communities meet the appearance, operational, and safety standards set forth by BRG Apartments, as well as federal, state, and local laws. You will be responsible for responding quickly and professionally to resident requests for service, troubleshooting issues, and taking appropriate corrective action. We are looking for a technician with experience in plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry who is eager to work in a positive team environment and is willing to go the extra mile for our residents. Your responsibilities will include a variety of maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical installations, drywall repairs, painting, appliance repairs, preventative maintenance, and seasonal maintenance. You will also be involved in health and safety maintenance tasks, such as ensuring the proper functioning of sprinkler systems and smoke detectors. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of previous maintenance experience and the ability to participate in an on-call rotation. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager or Supervisor in completing tasks to ensure community standards are met.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to resident requests for service.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, and installations.
  • Conduct electrical repairs, replacements, and installations.
  • Repair drywall and perform minor touch-ups and painting as needed.
  • Repair, replace, or install household appliances such as refrigerators and dishwashers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on heating and air-conditioning systems, plumbing fixtures, and safety equipment.
  • Participate in seasonal maintenance tasks, including swimming pool procedures.
  • Install locks and ensure the security of the community.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years previous maintenance experience.
  • HVAC/EPA Certification is highly preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance are required.
  • Ability to participate in the on-call rotation.
