About the position

Property Management is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for one of our apartment communities in Naples, FL. As a Maintenance Technician, you will work under the immediate supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repairs within the apartment community. Your role will include preparing units for new move-ins, performing grounds work such as picking up debris, blowing breezeways, and light landscaping. You will coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to efficiently complete projects and work orders, ensuring that all tasks are performed to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will also include performing minor electrical maintenance, such as replacing or repairing fixtures, minor plumbing maintenance, and minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work. Additionally, you will be HVAC certified, with knowledge of systems to maintain, repair, and replace HVAC units. You will diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and conduct tests and adjustments as necessary. A key part of your role will involve scheduling and completing a preventative maintenance program, reading and interpreting equipment manuals, and responding to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate concerns. Flexibility in working hours is essential, and you will be expected to comply with safety regulations while maintaining clean and orderly work areas.

Responsibilities

  • Make ready units for new move-ins
  • Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, blowing of breezeways, and light landscaping
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance such as replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets
  • Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work
  • Maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Complete other tasks as directed and assigned

Requirements

  • Skilled advanced trade experience in maintenance
  • HVAC certification
  • Ability to perform minor electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and masonry work
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals
  • Commitment to safety regulations and maintaining clean work areas
