About the position

The Maintenance Technician position at Conifer Realty LLC is a newly created role aimed at maintaining the indoor and outdoor facilities of properties in Camden, NJ. This full-time position involves a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents, and requires adaptability to changing priorities and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain indoor and outdoor maintenance and clean presentation of the community.
• Complete routine painting, carpentry, drywall, cleaning, minor plumbing, basic electrical, flooring, and other maintenance activities in response to work orders.
• Prep vacant units for new residents to move in.
• Manage outdoor grounds maintenance including trash management, mowing, trimming shrubbery, and cultivating flower beds.
• Perform snow, ice, salting, and debris removal as needed.
• Communicate timely with team members for immediate follow-up on work orders.
• Respond to emergency on-call duties on a rotational basis within 30 minutes of notification.
• Cover other properties for on-call coverage as needed.
• Adapt to changing work priorities to meet project deadlines.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years prior apartment or home repair maintenance skills such as drywall repair, painting, light plumbing, basic electrical, flooring, and cleaning.
• Minimum High School diploma/GED required.
• Some computer skills helpful for timekeeping, emails, online training modules, and work order processing or willing to train.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong time management, problem solving, communication, and customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual Spanish-speaking is a plus.
• HVAC experience helpful or willing to train.
