About the position

The Maintenance Technician position at Kerry involves supporting the maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on food and beverage production. The role requires performing building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The position operates on a night shift schedule and emphasizes a commitment to safety and quality in all operations.

Responsibilities

• Complete building repairs and equipment installation.
• Troubleshoot and fulfill assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory and perform preventative maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Clean and lubricate machinery parts such as shafts, bearings, and gears.
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic steam, and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
• Perform minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep of the building.
• Work with pumps, heat exchangers, and steam systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of General Maintenance Experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food/beverage.
• High school diploma or GED required; associated degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Basic technical knowledge of stainless steel welding/fabrication.
• Ability to be or become a Sanitary Certified welder.
• Knowledge of piping systems, electricity, PLCs, process control instrumentation, HVAC systems, and process equipment.
• Personal computing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus.
