About the position

As a Maintenance Technician on the night shift, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and routine lubrication on various types of machinery. Your role will involve troubleshooting problems to repair existing equipment and conducting diagnostics to determine the cause of machine malfunctions. You will be expected to disassemble and reassemble machinery to repair or replace parts in a timely manner, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally. Additionally, you will respond to breakdown calls for mechanical issues, providing quick and effective solutions to minimize downtime. It is crucial that you complete all necessary documentation of work performed to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. This position operates on a night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, with the possibility of a rotating schedule such as 4 days on and 4 days off, depending on production needs. Flexibility in your schedule is essential as production demands may change. You will be part of a team that plays a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency of the facility, ensuring that all machinery is in good working order and that production can proceed without interruptions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Previous maintenance technician experience considered in lieu of formal documented technical training.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of power transmission equipment.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights.
  • Ability to read and work from drawings and schematics.
  • Authorization to work in the US without visa or other sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work overtime and night shift.

Nice-to-haves

  • Completion of a formal certificate training program in hydraulics, pneumatics, or welding.
  • Experience with welding and metal fabrication.
