Maintenance Technician - One Rangers Way

About the position

We are seeking a Full-time Luxury Property Manager for a 300+ unit luxury apartment community. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of leasing or industry experience and must be a strong closer. Strong customer service skills, polished phone etiquette, and excellent written communication skills are essential. The candidate should also possess strong administrative skills, maintain a professional appearance and attitude, and demonstrate strong work ethics and standards. The Maintenance Technician position will perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures in the building. This role assists in various maintenance and warehouse department functions and tasks, including testing and cleaning the pool and spa. The technician will perform a variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building trades, such as painting, make readies, carpentry, minor electrical work, or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing the building.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection and maintenance necessary to building exterior/interior.
• Assist and perform semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair, and construction tasks in the upkeep of the Distribution Center building.
• Assist and perform with installation, maintenance, repair, and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
• Assist and perform functions in the construction, installation, and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker boards/chalkboards, tack boards, and a variety of other structures and items.
• Inspect properties and communicate with management regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance.
• Prepare and paint walls and woodwork or perform other types of refinishing.
• Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules and MSDS sheets.
• Perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.
• Patch drywall and paint apartments.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of leasing or industry experience.
• Strong customer service skills with polished phone etiquette and written communication skills.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Strong work ethics and standards.
• Three years of experience as a make ready technician in one or more of the basic building maintenance trades.
• One year of experience in a high-rise building.
• Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments.
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• 3+ years of related employment in building maintenance.
• HVAC certification is a plus.
• CPO certified.
• EPA certified.
