About the position

The Maintenance Technician - Painter/Carpenter role at JLL involves performing both preventative and corrective maintenance on various plumbing and piping systems, as well as providing painting and carpentry work to maintain and beautify the physical structure of buildings. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to handle a variety of tasks related to building maintenance, including emergency repairs and general upkeep of facilities.

Responsibilities

• Support carpentry tasks such as installing doors, hardware, and furniture.
• Perform rigging/moving of equipment.
• Prepare, prime, and paint repair building interior and exterior surfaces.
• Inspect various damaged surfaces for remodeling.
• Use various wall covering techniques to complete projects.
• Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, and doors.
• Occasionally support the repair of plumbing components.
• Provide all other building maintenance, repair, and restorative procedures as directed.
• Perform general carpentry tasks to maintain buildings.
• Repair/Replace/Install ceiling tiles, carpet tiles, and floor tiles.
• Perform emergency roofing repairs and clear roof drains.
• Patch and paint office and controlled work environments.
• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Complete various duties related to painting, carpentry, flooring, and cabinetry.
• Perform general office maintenance tasks.
• Conduct machine room and area inspections.
• Respond to urgent requests as directed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance or related fields.
• Experience in controlled working environments is a plus.
• Valid Driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Electrical/mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Knowledge of office furniture is a plus.
