About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Mars Wrigley is responsible for troubleshooting and performing mechanical repairs on various equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role involves working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and effectively. The technician will also participate in preventative maintenance and support operations, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of the facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic Computer skills required (e.g., Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
  • Ability to participate in a stringent onboarding and training program within the first 7 weeks of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Technical Degree.
  • 4 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical schematics/drawings.
  • Understanding of TPM Theory and Concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, failed components, and centerline adjustments.
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) and support operations with equipment set up and changeover.
  • Document Work Orders (WOs) and PMs using computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for Plant maintenance functions.
  • Perform some fabrication and/or machinist work as trained.
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Teams, train operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AMs) activities, and participate in Breakdown Analysis/Elimination efforts.
  • Adhere to Maintenance and Repair costs while following Maintenance Planning and Scheduling.
  • Assist Operations with Anomaly Handling.
