About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds at The Atrium at Victorian Square. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks including repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, all aimed at meeting client expectations and maintaining property aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet client objectives.
• Adhere to the assigned maintenance program for the property's proper and safe condition.
• Follow the preventative maintenance program as outlined in the Maintenance Manual.
• Ensure grounds and property aesthetics comply with FPI Curb Appeal Policies.
• Serve as on-call maintenance providing emergency services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure proper conditions upon move-in.
• Coordinate and assist in painting vacant apartments and changing out appliances as necessary.
• Repair and maintain any equipment owned by the apartment community and maintain orderly maintenance shops.
• Enforce community rules and regulations and comply with Fair Housing Laws.
• Promote a professional image while communicating with residents, clients, and vendors.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
• High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and current motor vehicle insurance.
• Ability to wear a respirator and comply with FPI's facial hair policy.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.).
• May be required to provide and maintain own tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction.
• Technical school certification in a related field.
