About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. This role involves performing a variety of tasks including repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols while meeting client expectations. The technician will also be involved in unit turnover and general maintenance to maintain property aesthetics and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet client objectives.
  • Adhere to the assigned maintenance program for the property.
  • Serve as on-call maintenance providing emergency services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure proper conditions for move-in.
  • Repair and maintain equipment owned by the apartment community and maintain storage areas in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations and comply with Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in Residential Property Management.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction.
  • Technical school education or CAMT certification.
