About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. This role involves performing a variety of tasks including repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols while meeting client expectations. The technician will also handle unit turnovers and maintain equipment and systems within the property.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet client objectives.
  • Adhere to the assigned maintenance program for the property's proper and safe condition.
  • Serve as on-call maintenance providing emergency services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure readiness for new tenants.
  • Repair and maintain equipment owned by the apartment community and ensure proper storage.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations and comply with Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction.
  • Ability to provide and maintain own tools.
