About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Millennium Cove is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. This role involves performing a variety of tasks including repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The technician will also support the overall objective of meeting client expectations based on the operating capital budget and management agreement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet client objectives.
• Adhere to the assigned maintenance program for the property.
• Follow the preventative maintenance program as outlined in the Maintenance Manual.
• Ensure property aesthetics comply with FPI Curb Appeal Policies.
• Serve as on-call maintenance providing emergency services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments.
• Coordinate and assist in painting vacant apartments and changing out appliances.
• Maintain equipment owned by the apartment community and ensure proper storage.
• Secure all parts, supplies, and property equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Enforce community rules and regulations and comply with Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in Residential Property Management.
• High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and current motor vehicle insurance.
• Ability to wear a respirator and comply with FPI's facial hair policy.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.).
• May be required to provide and maintain own tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction.
• Technical school certification or CAMT certification.
