About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of two properties, ensuring that all areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and attractive manner. This role involves executing repairs, documenting work, and coordinating with vendors for necessary repairs. The technician will also assist in property inspections and maintain a positive relationship with residents and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Timely coordination, execution, and documentation of repairs to common areas and units.
• Maintain all areas of the property in a safe, clean, and attractive manner.
• Perform custodial work including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning windows in common areas.
• Identify, document, and repair health and safety risks on the property.
• Record, track, and complete Yardi work orders within established timelines.
• Maintain maintenance shop and storage areas in an organized manner.
• Assist in scheduling and turning of vacant units prior to resident occupancy.
• Assist the Community Manager in annual apartment inspections.
• Respond to after-hour, weekend, and holiday emergency repair needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of recent experience in apartment property management or a related field.
• Valid California Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Yardi software.
