About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Full Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at HRM Services LLC in Savannah, MO. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the good condition and functionality of affordable housing properties. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously and responsibly in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety within the properties, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and repairs. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for surveying buildings and repairing mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Your duties will include performing maintenance and installation of various systems, such as replacing light bulbs and sockets, cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels, and maintaining heating and plumbing systems. You will also be expected to navigate electronic work orders using a smartphone and inspect alarm systems, scheduling repairs as necessary. In addition to technical skills, the role requires a willingness to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including painting, HVAC troubleshooting, janitorial duties, inspections, landscaping, and snow removal. The position demands physical stamina, as you will need to lift up to 90 lbs and stand for extended periods of time. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and certifications in HVAC or building maintenance technology are a plus. The ideal candidate will also have a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation, although this is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Perform maintenance and installation of systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels, and changing filter furnaces.
  • Assist in the setup of systems and conduct repairs when necessary, maintaining heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
  • Navigate smart phone and electronic work orders effectively.
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary, such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
  • Willingness to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, HVAC troubleshooting, janitorial duties, inspections, landscaping, and snow removal.

Requirements

  • Maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Basic technology skills, including familiarity with smartphones and computers.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field is a plus.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired.
