About the position

The Maintenance Technician Skilled position at Sunny Acres involves providing a variety of skilled building maintenance services in a part-time capacity. The role focuses on ensuring the upkeep of the property, performing repairs, and maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for residents. This position does not require on-call or after-hours responsibilities, allowing for a balanced work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintain the grounds as assigned, including trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster areas, and maintaining landscape beds.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy, which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair, and maintain various plumbing, heating, and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Install and repair major and minor appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, and dishwashers.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, and test to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snaking toilets/drains, repairing/replacing leaking faucets, and adjusting/replacing door closures.
• Demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service at all times.

Requirements

• Valid Boiler License is required.
• Five years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
