Property Management is presently accepting resumes for a full-time Maintenance Technician for one of our apartment communities in Kannapolis, NC. Responsibilities

  • Make ready units for new move-ins
  • Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, blowing of breezeways, and light landscaping
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures such as wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance including replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, adding new lines, etc.
  • Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work such as preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.
  • Maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems, diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments
  • Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Complete other tasks as directed and assigned.

Requirements

  • Skilled advanced trade experience in maintenance
  • HVAC certification and knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Ability to perform minor electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and masonry work
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Strong commitment to safety regulations and maintaining clean work areas
