About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of property and equipment. This role ensures that daily operational requirements are met to maintain optimal efficiency and exceed guest expectations in a hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain property equipment, fixtures, or mechanics.
• Respond to management, staff, and resident maintenance requests and execute them promptly.
• Conduct inspections of all cottages, buildings, and common areas.
• Maintain tools and maintenance equipment in good working order and keep the maintenance room organized.
• Perform electrical, heating, and plumbing repairs, including changing outlets, fixtures, and breakers.
• Utilize basic HVAC knowledge for boilers and forced air furnaces.
• Handle basic plumbing tasks such as changing faucets, re-piping, replacing toilets, and unclogging drains.
• Maintain all maintenance logs, work orders, and necessary paperwork.
• Assist in preparing vacant rooms or cottages for new guests, including carpentry work, drywall, painting, and other repairs.
• Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and guest-ready.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Good physical condition and strength.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
