The Maintenance Technician at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Lancaster plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, effectiveness, and productivity of the hotel's facilities. This position is essential for maintaining the first impression of the property for guests, residents, clients, and the community. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Manager of Maintenance, General Manager, Front Desk Staff, and Housekeeping Staff to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The role requires a well-rounded individual with knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical maintenance, who can utilize their skills to keep the property in excellent condition for both guests and team members. In this full-time position, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of essential duties. These include completing room preventative maintenance and associated documentation, managing key cards and locks, troubleshooting various equipment such as pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and kitchen equipment, and responding to plumbing issues. The technician will also maintain the swimming pool and its equipment, perform water quality tests, and document readings in compliance with state laws. Additionally, the role involves cleaning and preparing areas for painting, responding to emergency calls, and assisting with pest control documentation. The technician will also be responsible for snow removal and maintaining cleanliness around the property, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. The Maintenance Technician is expected to work in a team-oriented environment, assisting and communicating with fellow team members and leaders. This position requires a friendly and outgoing demeanor, as the technician will interact with guests and the general public, providing excellent customer service.
