About the position
The Maintenance Technician at SPM, LLC is responsible for ensuring the physical condition of the apartment community is maintained through both preventative and corrective measures. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance tasks to provide a quality living experience for residents.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the physical condition of the community through preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Complete service requests promptly, typically within 24 hours, addressing plumbing, appliance repair, electrical systems, HVAC, and routine maintenance.
- Perform grounds keeping tasks to enhance curb appeal, including litter removal and pressure washing.
- Share after-hours on-call duties with fellow maintenance team members.
- Manage maintenance expenditures and maintain an inventory of frequently used parts and replacement items.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and collaborate effectively with co-workers and vendors.
Requirements
- Property maintenance experience required.
- HVAC Certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in plumbing and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with carpentry and appliance maintenance.
