About the position

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform various upkeep tasks, including repairs and cleaning, to ensure that our facilities are tidy and functional. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and operational. This role requires a reliable individual with a keen eye for detail, as the quality of maintenance directly impacts the overall functionality of the facilities. In this position, you will be expected to perform a variety of cleaning activities such as dusting and mopping, as well as minor repairs like fixing broken locks and filling gaps on walls. You will also be responsible for garden and yard upkeep, which includes mowing the lawn and collecting trash. Conducting maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and inspecting equipment and systems, including ventilation, will be part of your daily responsibilities. Additionally, you will check the functionality of safety systems, such as fire alarms, and collaborate with other workers and professionals during renovations. Reporting to a facilities or maintenance manager will be essential for addressing any issues that arise during your work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, etc.
  • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks and filling gaps on walls.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar position.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an apprenticeship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property maintenance.
