About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various mining equipment, pumps, pipelines, and machinery. This role requires a strong mechanical background, welding skills, and the ability to work safely both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility in working hours is essential due to potential callouts and unusual circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair conveyor belts, loadout equipment, and mobile and stationary equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery, including greasing, changing oil, and inspecting for defects.
• Install and change motors, chains, gear boxes, differentials, and perform suspension work.
• Conduct cutting (Oxy and acetylene) welding and rigging procedures.
• Perform pre-shift inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Fabricate and install pumps and/or rebuild gear boxes.
• Operate forklift, front-end loader, and other heavy equipment.
• Read prints and diagrams to assist in repairs and installations.
• Ensure work areas are safe and comply with OSHA and company safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability for callouts as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• OSHA 10HR certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial work setting doing maintenance work is preferred.
• Experience with a good safety record in maintenance work.
