About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Performance Foodservice is responsible for overseeing and performing maintenance tasks related to refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, and various equipment within the facility. This role ensures that safety regulations and quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of products through the production process. The technician will also coordinate maintenance work, assist in training maintenance trainees, and perform general housekeeping duties to keep the maintenance area orderly and clean.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the maintenance crew to ensure safety regulations, procedures, and quality standards are met.
• Coordinates maintenance work for the immediate area and assists in training maintenance trainees.
• Performs troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installations of refrigeration systems, coolers, and HVAC systems.
• Maintains, replaces, builds, adjusts, and modifies facilities, buildings, and grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency situations.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps the maintenance area orderly and clean as required.
• Secures all equipment and completes all necessary reports and paperwork at the end of the shift.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 1-2 years of experience in maintenance related to warehouse and/or production environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Associates/2-year technical: Maintenance training/certification
• 2-4 years of experience in maintenance warehouse and/or production environment
• Team lead experience
• OSHA Forklift operator certificate
• HVAC certification
• Ammonia refrigerant training and certification
