About the position
The Maintenance Technician at H&K Group is responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and repairs on equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and adherence to safety policies. The technician will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager and will be involved in diagnosing and repairing production machines, utilities, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all work adhering to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Carry out troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs of production machines, utilities, and equipment
- Clean and maintain the Maintenance Shop tools and equipment as needed
- Complete work orders in a timely manner
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions and take corrective actions
- Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system inspections
- Train on the use and maintenance of new tools
- Initiate, lead, and design small projects as directed
- Oil and grease equipment as well as filter and valve replacements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- 10 years related experience
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on all assigned equipment
- Welding experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Computer skills including data entry and MS Office (Outlook, Excel)
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use mechanics hand tools
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

- Block machine maintenance experience
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Conveyor repair and operations experience
- Metal fabrication experience
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical equipment
- OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
