About the position

The Maintenance Technician at REXCO is responsible for performing a variety of general building maintenance repairs and services. This role involves coordinating special projects, maintaining inventory controls, and ensuring effective communication with tenants and contractors. The technician will also keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any unusual occurrences to the Property Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
• Coordinate special projects as directed by the Property Manager.
• Responsible for alerting the Property Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
• Carry cell phone as required during work hours for on-call maintenance.
• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all tenants, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintain monthly inspection and maintenance log of building and HVAC roof motors and fans. Report problems or major maintenance needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize; the ability to analyze the situation to determine which one is a higher priority.
• Keep accurate records related to the time spent at job sites and the purchases related to any work performed.
• Communicate effectively with others, both verbally & in writing.
• Ability to find information and identify essential information.
• Coordinate actions in relation to others' actions.
• Identify the nature of problems and reorganize information to find a better approach to problems or tasks.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment.

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
