About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various machines and equipment within the facility, including CNC machines, EDM, compressors, dryers, and welding equipment. The role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to the production of high-quality finished products. The technician will also perform preventive maintenance, manage parts inventory, and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on CNC machines, EDM, compressors, dryers, manual mills, lathes, and welding equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and order necessary parts for equipment repair.
  • Use schematic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on all production equipment according to schedule.
  • Organize and maintain maintenance areas of the stockroom.
  • Follow established safety rules and guidelines, including lockout/tag procedures and electrical code practices.
  • Communicate hazards and safety issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other related assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience troubleshooting CNC machines.
  • Ability to wire machinery and repair electrical components.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics skills, demonstrated by performance or certification.
  • Experience performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all systems.
  • Ability to maintain and repair electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience in welding using cutting torches or other welding equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of material handling equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with battery maintenance for material handling equipment.
  • Fabrication skills from various materials.
