About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Brookfield Properties is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of residential properties, providing exceptional customer service while performing a variety of maintenance tasks. This role requires a skilled professional who can work collaboratively within a team environment and take pride in delivering high-quality service to residents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform HVAC repairs, cleaning, and replacements.
  • Conduct plumbing repairs and installations, including sinks, toilets, and faucets.
  • Execute carpentry tasks such as repairing and installing doors, shelves, and locks.
  • Carry out painting duties including drywall and plaster repairs.
  • Handle electrical and appliance maintenance, including lighting, wiring, and circuit replacements.
  • Repair and maintain machinery such as chillers, belts, pumps, and fans.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to residents.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements.
  • Preferred certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing depending on property needs.
  • Valid driver's license may be required based on property needs.
  • Required skills include self-motivation, teamwork, communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability.
