West Shore Property Management is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for one of our apartment communities. As a Maintenance Technician, you will work under the immediate supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repairs within the apartment community. Your role will include preparing units for new move-ins, performing grounds work, and coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor to efficiently complete projects and work orders. You will also be tasked with minor electrical and plumbing maintenance, painting, carpentry, and masonry work, as well as HVAC system maintenance and repairs. This position requires a proactive approach to diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, and ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed in compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Make ready units for new move-ins
  • Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, blowing of breezeways and light landscaping
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance such as replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets
  • Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work
  • Maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
  • Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate concerns
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Complete other tasks as directed and assigned

Requirements

  • HVAC Certification license
  • 2 years of maintenance experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work flexible hours
