About the position

Join Andersen Corporation as a Weekend Electro/Mechanical Maintenance Technician, where you will provide essential maintenance services to ensure the efficient operation of factory and facility equipment. This role is crucial in controlling production costs and minimizing downtime, allowing for smooth manufacturing processes. You will be involved in the installation and maintenance of machinery, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and collaborating with engineering staff to optimize equipment placement and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance services to efficiently maintain and repair factory and facility equipment.
  • Carry out machinery maintenance programs and coordinate with outside maintenance service providers.
  • Participate directly in the installation of new machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Install and maintain machines, control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, switches, and motors.
  • Test circuits, diagnose readings, and take corrective action to resolve problems.
  • Work closely with Engineering Staff to coordinate procedures on changes to plant layout.
  • Diagnose electrical/mechanical-related trouble associated with automated machine tools.
  • Use necessary hand and power tools to replace components and recalibrate machinery.
  • Manage equipment maintenance manuals and service records.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with service providers and provide coaching as needed.
  • Establish and maintain maintenance shop and spare parts inventory for machinery.
  • Participate in and sustain 6S activities and follow safety policies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in welding, machining, machine building, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Knowledge of various computer skills (CMMS, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal customers and service providers.
  • Comprehensive ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems related to PLC and electromechanical aspects of manufacturing equipment.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to use testing equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in industrial maintenance (2 years preferred).
  • Experience with hydraulics (2 years required).
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (2 years required).
