About the position
The Maintenance Technician at Clarendale Six Corners is responsible for maintaining the physical plant of the facility, ensuring a safe and functional environment for residents and staff. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and assisting with seasonal needs, all while embodying a culture of hospitality and respect for residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance duties, such as fixing wall covers, floor covers, and some furniture and fixtures.
- Receive service requests and respond in a timely manner.
- Perform painting and refurbishing projects as directed by the supervisor.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance as directed by the supervisor.
- Perform minor building and equipment repairs.
- Complete all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor.
- Assist with snow removal efforts during winter as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of fountains, pumping, and filtration systems where appropriate.
- Perform maintenance on the irrigation system, including valves, timers, and nozzles.
- Perform routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned.
- Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.
- Assist the Director of Plant Operations with heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators when qualified.
- Maintain the exterior and interior of all buildings.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent in training, education, and experience.
- Minimum two years experience in building maintenance.
- One year or more experience in apartment and/or healthcare community maintenance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in hospitality-focused environments.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
