About the position
The Maintenance Technician position at a multifamily complex in Metairie, LA, involves maintaining the property in an attractive and comfortable condition. Experience in property maintenance is preferred, and the technician will be responsible for various maintenance tasks and responding to service requests.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain the entire property in an attractive and comfortable condition.
- Perform corrective maintenance and satisfy residents' needs following company procedures when performing service requests.
- Assist in trash pickup on the property and basic landscaping.
- Assist in all types of maintenance when necessary and as requested.
- Assist in completing the turnovers/make-readies of vacant units as requested.
- Be on-call in accordance with scheduling to handle maintenance emergencies from residents and property emergencies.
- Observe the condition of apartments and report any unusual circumstances, unauthorized occupants, illegal activity, etc.
Requirements
- Experience in property maintenance is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of grounds keeping, electrical systems, plumbing systems, painting and drywall, and HVAC systems.
