About the position
The Maintenance Technician at Homewood Suites by Hilton is responsible for assisting the Lead Maintenance Technician in ensuring the hotel operates smoothly by performing repairs and preventative maintenance. This role emphasizes excellent guest service and adherence to company standards while maintaining the hotel's mechanical systems and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician in hotel operations.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to meet hotel quality standards.
- Provide excellent guest service in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain all mechanical areas of the hotel according to preventative guidelines.
- Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
- Perform general minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure all maintenance equipment is in working order.
- Complete documentation for maintenance tasks and repairs.
- Assist with houseman duties when assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of electricity, AC, and plumbing.
- Experience in preventative maintenance.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand for eight hours and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, and climbing ladders.
- Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of another language is a plus.

- Computer knowledge is helpful.
